Terrestrial (Primary Rainforest, Secondary Rainforest). Scattered in undisturbed mixed dipterocarp forests and lowland rainforests up to 600 m altitude. Usually on hillsides and ridges, but also on alluvial sites. Mostly on sandy soils, but also on clay. In secondary forests usually present as a pre-disturbance remnant.
