Terrestrial (Primary Rainforest, Mountain, Secondary Rainforest, Monsoon Forest, Freshwater Swamp Forest). In lowland to mountain forests, undisturbed mixed dipterocarp and sub-montane forests up to 1800 m altitude. Mostly on hillsides and ridges, but also along rivers and streams. On sandy to clay soils.
