Terrestrial (Primary Rainforest, Secondary Rainforest, Freshwater Swamp Forest). In undisturbed forests up to 400 m altitude. Usually on hillsides and ridges on clayey to sandy soils. In secondary forests usually present as a pre-disturbance remnant.

Botanic GardensÕ Jungle, Bugis Street, and in Nee Soon Swamp Forest and other parts of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve.
